Last week I delivered a training course on AI in Language Teaching & Learning for EU Educators. π At the start of the course, there were many educators who were of course apprehensive about AI. Concerns ranged from not understanding its potential to feeling straight up afraid about it replacing traditional teaching methods. However, by the end of the week, it was hugely rewarding to witness those same teachers confidently #integrating tools into their lesson plans and classroom strategies. π Seeing this shift from fear to excitement was a big highlight for me!
π‘ And it wasnβt just about toolsβit was about ethics too. We discussed how to use AI responsibly, addressing privacy concerns, and how we, as educators, need to guide students to, rather than lose their #criticalthinking skills, continue to develop them in innovative and relevant ways.
What Iβm taking away from this course π: I am a firm believer that AI has the potential to revolutionize the classroom, but it’s essential to #balance #innovation with thoughtful, #ethical #implementation. Iβm proud to be part of a global community working to make this shift smoother and to empower other educators in keeping up with the curve.
Big thanks to everyone who joined and shared their knowledge and to the ERASMUS+ team for making this incredible learning opportunity possible! π
