Drama Tool of the Month: Split Stage

In 2025 I have been doing a monthly series of online drama in education workshops for a client based in Nanjing, China. Each month I introduce a different drama technique and how to apply it for education, and last month we explored the tool Split Stage! 🎭💻

In the photo, you can see the classic “split stage” in action—one side happy 😊, the other sad 😢—a powerful tool to show contrast in emotion, perspective, or character intention.

What I loved most was seeing participants from such diverse fields—corporate trainers 👩‍💼, therapists 🧠, psychologists 📘, and early years educators 👩‍🏫—all finding unique and creative ways to apply this technique in their own contexts.

Online training really works, even with me in Spain and my participants in China, it’s always amazing to see how drama tools like this can travel across screens and time zones while still making an impact.

Loving this series—one more session coming in June! 🎉📅
