Co-Constructing Knowledge

I used to think that being a good educator meant having to know everything.
Now I am seeing the importance and value of knowing how to ask.

We’re moving away from the traditional “banking model of education,” where the teacher is the keeper of all knowledge, to something

much
more
powerful:
co-construction of learning.

Visible thinking routines like a Know-Wonder-Learn chart can transform a session from a monologue into a meaningful exchange. A roomful of different people with rich and varied perspectives will always be more valuable than just a single narrative.

💡 My turn to elicit from you! What are your favourite ways to elicit and invite contribution – especially from quieter participants?
