Last week I had the pleasure of leading a workshop in Denmark on AI in language teaching and education as part of a day-long conference that brought together over 80+ teachers from all over West Denmark.
We explored how AI can transform classrooms, from lesson planning to student engagement, and reflected critically on both its opportunities and challenges.
In the post-workshop evaluations, the teachers reported a ๐ฐ๐ฒ% ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ต ๐ธ๐ป๐ผ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ for their teaching.
For me, one of the biggest wins in using AI in education is the speed of differentiation. What used to take much longer now only takes moments, and teachers are now able to adapt material to the reading level of each student, making classrooms more inclusive and personalized.
One of my current favorite tools is Diffit.
Itโs free for teachers and instantly creates differentiated resources, making it easier to keep lessons inclusive and accessible to all learners. Highly recommend giving it a try! Link in the comments.
Teachers that feel empowered, not afraid, to use new technologies like AI is definitely a win! ๐
