I’ve always loved what I do for work.
But that doesn’t mean I’ve always chosen the right projects. For years, I said yes to things just because I felt like I had to. I chased opportunities that looked practical, or safe, or that I thought would “lead somewhere.” And while they kept me busy, they didn’t always leave me fulfilled.
Eventually, I realized that just working hard wasn’t enough, I had to be more intentional about what I was working on. So I stopped saying yes to every project that came my way. I started asking myself: does this excite me? Does this align with my strengths and values? Is this really the kind of work I want to put my energy into?
That shift changed everything. Once I started being deliberate about the projects I took on, the right opportunities began to flow. My work became more meaningful, my results stronger, and my sense of fulfillment much deeper.
The good news: you don’t have to change who you are or what you do – sometimes it’s just about making better choices.
My advice to you … is to start with one intentional step. Choose the project that feels right, and watch how it opens doors for more.
