๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฎ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ: This evening I delivered a workshop with Shane English as part of their winter camp, bringing drama in education to a small town just outside Taichung, Taiwan. Thereโs something really special about introducing drama to a group for the very first time, watching students slowly open up, find confidence, and get excited to share their ideas and voices never gets old.
๐ป ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฐ๐ต ๐ผ๐ป๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ: This Sunday, Iโll be wrapping up the last session of a 4-part online #devisedtheatre series. Over the past weeks, participants have been creating theatre together online, working from different stimuli around the (very fitting) theme of technology. Excited to see what their final performance will look like!
Creating spaces for #play, #expression, and #imagination is where the real magic happens. Watching kids open up, find their voice, and realize they have something worth sharing is one of the most rewarding parts of this work.
And it doesnโt stop thereโฆ Hearing adults say theyโre surprised by how deeply they can #connect and #collaborate through an online platform is a clear example just how adaptable drama is. Itโs such an incredible tool, for connection, creativity, and learning, and Iโm endlessly grateful that I get to use it as the heart of my practice. โจ
P.S. Can you guess what ‘action verb’ we are all doing in this workshop photo?
