IAF Meetup

A cheerful selfie of around fifteen facilitators in a café, many with their arms stretched out wide

What a joy to see our IAF España community grow, with 15 facilitators coming together in a cozy cafe in Barcelona, Spain yesterday! ✨

What I love most about these gatherings is seeing how many different spaces facilitation shows up in.

To name just a few, we had Yana with her experience in technology and innovation, Hanne and her work unlocking peoples’ creative potential, Paul in sales enablement (who met Martin 20 years ago, talk about a long connection!) and also fellow applied theatre practitioner Jessica that also uses drama in her facilitation join us yesterday!

Facilitation is not limited to one field.

Different backgrounds,

completely different sectors,

but the same shared interest:

finding joy in creating spaces where people can participate, connect, and learn together!

Whether it’s a classroom, an organization, a community project, or a creative workshop, the principles of holding space, listening, and designing for participation matter everywhere.

Allison and I will be hosting the next meetup in January, with a workshop session! Keep an eye out and feel free to message me to join our growing WhatsApp community! 🙌
