This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. I'm Elana Shyong, a creative facilitator and trainer based in Barcelona, Spain, and I'm responsible for your data. If you have any questions, email me at elanaxshyong@gmail.com.

What I collect

Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and, if you choose to give it, your first name.
Enquiries: if you contact me by email or through a contact form, I receive the details you send, such as your name, email address, organisation and message.
Discovery call bookings: if you book a call, the booking is handled by Cal.com, which collects the details you enter. Their privacy policy applies to that service.
Basic site analytics: my website platform may record anonymous, aggregated information about visits (such as pages viewed, device type and country) to help me understand how the site is used.

Why I use it

To send you the newsletter you signed up for (based on your consent).
To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to plan and deliver that work (based on taking steps at your request, or my legitimate interest in responding to you).
To understand and improve the website (legitimate interest).

I don't sell your data, and I don't use it for anything you wouldn't reasonably expect.

Where it's stored

This website is hosted on Cloudflare, and newsletter sign-ups are stored in a secure Cloudflare database. If I start using an email newsletter service, your newsletter details will be moved there and I will update this policy. Some of these providers may store data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, they use recognised safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long I keep it

Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.
Enquiries: for as long as needed to respond and for any work that follows, and then no longer than necessary for my records.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive a copy of it. You can withdraw consent to the newsletter at any time by replying to any email or writing to elanaxshyong@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es (opens in a new tab)).

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, I will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
