LEARN · CREATIVE FACILITATION TRAINING
Use creativity, drama and applied theatre to make learning more participatory, imaginative and meaningful.
For educators, facilitators, artists, activists and people working with groups.
Creative Facilitation Training explores how to use creative and drama-based methods to make learning and experiences more participatory, imaginative and meaningful.
No acting experience needed. The focus is on purposeful participation, not performance.

Rather than treating activities as separate tools, this training looks at how creative techniques can open up a topic, invite different perspectives and support people to explore real questions through parallel fictional situations, images, stories and role play.
It is particularly useful for people working in education, community settings, social change, youth work, arts education and professional development.
This may be for you if…
- You want to bring more creativity, imagination and participation into your work with groups.
- You rely on discussion or presentation-based methods and want more engaging alternatives.
- You want to explore complex or sensitive topics without putting people on the spot.
- You are interested in drama, applied theatre and creative approaches to learning or social change.
- You want practical techniques you can adapt to your own group, topic and context.

Theatre as a Tool for Empowerment
When a group needs space to express itself, reclaim its voice and imagine possibilities for change.
THE NEED
People may feel unheard, limited by their circumstances or unsure how to speak about experiences that matter to them. You want to create a supportive space where they can explore identity, agency and possibilities for change.
WHAT YOU TAKE AWAY
Practical ways to use theatre to amplify voices, build confidence and agency, explore alternatives and support collective imagination.
Who it's for
Community groups, youth groups, educators, social-change organisations, therapeutic or wellbeing settings, and groups exploring identity, agency or inclusion.
Methods may include
- Forum Theatre
- Image theatre
- Storytelling
- Process drama
- Role play
- Collective devising
- Reflection and discussion
Participation is invited rather than required. People can engage through speaking, moving, image-making, observing, writing or supporting the group in another way.

Kind words
From people who've trained with me.
Insanely good! She is inspiring, motivating and good at explaining. It was a great workshop, and I can see many of the things being used directly in practice.
Wonderful!!! An eye-opener! I am deeply impressed! I can't wait to get the slides and try it out with my students.
It makes it okay to make mistakes and makes them confident
Elana was able to adjust to each students' needs, work with them and gave them the opportunity to lead. … Her ideas were innovative and thoughtful.
Elana showed an understanding of the role of Community Arts, whilst applying it to sessions through her offers. … It was great to have Elana in the sessions, she is fun, the students loved her and she was both excellent at supporting the students and leading on some activities when appropriate.
A fantastic week of classes with Elana! We were able to improve our English, each at our own level, while also practicing theatre together. Very enriching!
